Gold Requirements For Sellers

To ensure quality and consistency in our gold procurement process, Chimera Mineral Trading maintains strict standards for all gold purchases. Sellers must meet the following requirements:

  • The gold must have a purity of 18-24 Carats.
  • The gold’s purity must be 88% or above, verified during our testing
    process.
  • The minimum quantity of gold accepted for purchase is 5 grams per
    transaction.
  • Sellers are required to provide valid identification (e.g., National
Registration Card or Passport) for verification.
  • Proof of ownership or source of the gold is recommended to ensure
    compliance with ethical sourcing standards.

Gold must be in a form suitable for weighing and smelting, such as nuggets, bars, or dust.

NOTE: All gold brought to our trading centers undergoes smelting and thorough
testing for purity and authenticity before final pricing and payment.

By adhering to these requirements, we ensure transparency, quality, and
fairness in all transactions. Sellers who meet these criteria can confidently
trade with Chimera Mineral Trading, benefiting from competitive pricing
and prompt payment.

Trading Process For Precious Metals (Gold)

  • Sellers arrive at the trading center with their precious metals.
  • Sellers are required to provide valid identification (e.g., National Registration Card or Passport) and register in our system.
  • First-time sellers complete a one-time registration process, which
includes verification of their identity and providing contact details..
  • Our trained staff inspect the precious metals visually and document
    the type and approximate quantity.
  • A receipt is issued to the seller as proof of submission for weighing
    and testing.
  • The metals are weighed using calibrated, tamper-proof digital
scales in a secure area visible to both the seller and staff.
  • The weight is recorded, and a copy is shared with the seller.

Smelting:

  • The precious metals are smelted in a controlled environment to
remove any impurities and ensure uniformity of the sample.
  • This process is conducted in the presence of the seller to maintain
    transparency.

Authenticity and Purity Testing:

  • After smelting, a sample of the refined metal is tested using industry-
standard equipment, such as X-ray fluorescence (XRF) analyzers, to
determine the metal’s composition and purity.
  • The test results are shared with the seller in real time, and the process is fully transparent, allowing the seller to observe every step.

The final price is calculated based on:

  • The weight of the metal.
  • The purity level determined during testing.
  • The daily price derived from the international London Metal
    Exchange (LME) rates.

A detailed breakdown of the pricing calculation is shared with the seller for transparency.

  • Once the seller agrees to the price, a formal trade agreement is signed by both parties.
  • Payment is made securely and promptly via:
  1. Bank transfer to the seller’s account.
  2. Mobile money (for sellers without bank accounts).
  3. Cash (for smaller transactions, subject to legal limits).
  • All transactions are recorded digitally and securely stored for transparency and accountability.
  • Sellers are provided with a receipt and transaction summary for their records.
